Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry Sauce

Try this cranberry sauce with your sweet or savory meals.

Ingredients

2 cups
cranberries fresh or frozen
1/2 cup
granulated sugar (you can also swap with honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar, etc)
1 cup
water
1
orange zest
1/2 cup
orange juice
1
rosemary sprig
1/2
cinnamon stick (optional)

Directions

Preparation time: 5 minutes 

Cooking time: 10 minutes 

Food safety tips:

  • Wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.   
  • Clean all countertops and equipment used for food preparation.   
  • Gently rinse all produce under cool running water. 
  • Use separate equipment for handling raw food and cooked food. 

Preparation:

  • In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sweetener, water, rosemary, the juice and zest of an orange and cinnamon stick if desired. 
  • Set the saucepan over medium-low heat. 
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst and break down into a sauce. This will take about 10 minutes. The sauce is ready when it easily drips off a spoon.
