- Pour heavy cream into a chilled stainless steel, glass, or ceramic bowl.
- Using a whisk or electric mixer, whip the cream for 2–5 minutes until soft peaks begin to form.
- Zest the lemon or lime and save for garnish.
- Add maple syrup and a squeeze of lemon or lime juice, then gently stir to combine.
- Top your favourite dessert and garnish with zest as desired.
- Store in an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use.
